Dengue fever:Prevention, Symptoms, and Treatment Explained"

Dengue fever, a mosquito-borne viral illness, continues to be a significant global health concern, impacting millions of people every year. This article aims to shed light on the complexities of dengue, exploring its causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment options. By understanding the threat posed by this debilitating disease, we can work towards effective prevention strategies and improved patient care.

Dengue fever is caused by four closely related viruses known as serotypes, namely Dengue virus serotype 1 (DENV-1), Dengue virus serotype 2 (DENV-2), Dengue virus serotype 3 (DENV-3), and Dengue virus serotype 4 (DENV-4). These serotypes belong to the Flaviviridae family and are transmitted to humans through the bites of infected Aedes mosquitoes, primarily Aedes aegypti.
